The soft-spoken owner Mr Dorjay arranged every thing we 6 Senior citizens needed or demanded during our 10 days Ladakh visit in September- October 2021, even he agreed to divide us in two groups with separate vehicles at same cost so that we can travel with our own pace.. We (3 of us) wanted a socially distanced hike in Ladakh, and Active Adventures (Thinlay) organised a fantastic 6 day hike through the Markha Valley for our small group. Namgyal, our hike leader, was friendly and even extremely helpful when the shoe soles broke half way through the hike. He even tried to sow the sole to the shoe for us and ran up a steep hill side to drive a group of wild blue sheep away from a crumbling hillside to avoid triggering a landslide. Clean homestays, decent food and safety. Couldn’t have asked for more

It was a wonderful trek arranged by Thinlay (Active Adventures). Properly planned and personal attention was given. Namgyal our guide went out of his way to help us. The Markha trek is a nice serene trek away from the hustle of the crowded tourists… For miles, almost for the entire trek was just nature and a few locals. It’s a moderate to difficult trek with nature at its best to experience.
